16 cavity hot runner security ring mould, manufactured according client’s ring samples. Mould steel: Core and Cavity S136 steel, A/B plate and hot runner manifold plate P20. Other parts of the mould base made by 45# mould steel.
As medical products mould, the requirement on the tooling and products finish are very high. First, ring can put inside the cap easily.
Second, ring have to be broke and sperated with ring on the bottle when open the cap.
After above two process inspection, we can confirm the security ring working well and finish with good quality. Compare with the drink bottle cap mould security ring, this mould have higher requirement.
Security ring mould need many different tooling processes. Such as CNC milling tooling, CNC engraving tooling, EDM tooling, etc. For this mould, the most important process is EDM tooling, as this tooling decide the security ring quality.
After finish all the tooling, securing ring mould will go on the assembling and parting maching job. And then go on polish, and mould test.
16 cavity security ring mould, have 4 sliders. They are designed as mechanical structure, not use hydro-cylinder. So mould cycle time not be affected during mould open and close.
Customer use SABIC HDPE M300054 to produce the security rings, but we can not found the same plastic raw material. Due to this reason, we used HDPE + LDPE to get the similar hardness material to test the mould. Finally mould test samples passed customer’s testing with HDPE+LDPE made in China material.
When deliver the mould, we will weight the mould and measure the wooden case sizes and send the acutal mould gross weight and volume to client.
