Egg tray mould is designed and manufactured for injection moulding plastic egg trays.

Egg trays are widely used in our daily life. As egg tray is a very good tool for packaging and transporting eggs to avoid them broken, and save space as well.

Usually egg tray is made by PP plastic material. And egg tray size is standard in the market with dimension is 295*295*50mm and weight around 125g-130g. In addition egg tray 3D design provided by us, we are capable to design product according client concept and idea.

XS plastic mould design team have rich knowledge and experience in product design and mould design. Therefore we can make some amendment on the orginal sample according client’s idea. By then a new egg tray product drawing is borned, which slight diffient with normal in the market.

Egg tray mould can be made with both hot runner and cold runner. In below pictures egg tray mould is in hot runner 4drips. Egg tray mould can basically use P20H or 718H as mould steel. Of course, if request mould long lifetime, can use harden steel,like H13. After hardening treatment, steel hardness upto 48-52HRC, mold life would be at least 1 million shots.

This egg tray mould approximate dimension is 440X490X395mm and weight 490KGS.

Ordinary egg tray mould request two main steps of machining processing, CNC milling machining and CNC engraving machining. Here are the two videos of these machining.

After egg tray mould all machining job and assembling works completed, XS plastic mould will have mould testing. Mould construction time normally need 40days from steel purchase to finish mould assembling. The following is egg tray mould testing video.

Some client prefer painting on the mould appearance, some don’t like painting. All our moulds will taken fine fly cutting finish on the mould surface, anti-rusting oil on the mould as well.
