Family mould layout structure for air gun blower mould. Client want to save the mould cost, in order achieve this destination, we design all the air blower gun plastic parts in one mould. Abviously this way can save the money, but at the same time the small parts will get flash during injection molding, because the big part not only sizes much bigger than the small part but also wall thickness is thick. In order to prevent sink mark showed on part surface, need to set back pressure during injection moulding the parts. The back pressure is source of small parts flash.

Client’s injection machine is the old type, not have unit to drive hydraulic cylinders. Pneumatic cylinders moving very fast, but it is a calamity when its force is not high enough. With this reason, this moud three pneumatic cylinders are bigger.
However, as a professional plastic mould maker we prefer client’s moulds made by us with hydraulic cylinders, because hydraulic cylinders working more stable than pneumatic one. Another hand, same size hydraulic cylinders have larger force than pneumatic cylinders.
Runner sizes and gate sizes designed according to part weight and part size. For the family mould, the most problem is when small part already full filled but big part only filled partly. And big part if wall thickness is thick, will need high holding pressure, with this condition the small part will get flash during injection moulding. So, before design family mould, we need to analysis all the pars to see if fit for making family mould or not.
Currently due to corona virus, our foreigner clients cannot entre China to see mould trial, so normally we take mould trial videos and send the mould trial samples to client for quality inspection.
Actually, not only client will inspect the mould trial samples, as mould factory, we will check the mould trail samples also.
